These cheery kitchen accessories sing out against sparkling white. Farm Fresh collection, from £2, George Home.

The sun is shining (in-between some down pours, standard), but you could be mistaken for thinking that summer is on it’s way! In light of this, I thought I’d bring a little sunshine into your life with a retro colour-pop round up. This micro trend will not only add a bright splash to the kitchen, but the a cool vintage vibe would look right at home with those white metro tiles you’ve been eyeing up! Hmm anyone else got a craving for a strawberry milkshake and a big burger and fries?!

    Betty and Walter

These retro style prints from Betty and Walter come from Lisa Levis’s (nee Stickley) new Allotment Collection. Inspired by her uncle Walter’s love for growing his own (he sounds like a nice chap) and one of Lisa’s favourite 60’s cook books. I love the adorable cotton pinnies with vegetable silhouettes. Do you like it too? See more of the range, including tote bags and purses, here.

I previewed Habitat’s AW13 collections yesterday. It was chock-full of colour inspiration for winter and their ceramics is always top notch. The Freda Collection was a firm favourite of mine. It reminds me of what Habitat used to do in the 70s and feels a bit Marimekko-esque…
