Murmur is the new homeware range from Bedeck. It isn’t out until September…but it seemed too long to keep hush about it!
Puzzle side plate in Blush, Grey, Dark Blue, £13, Triangle tea towel £6, Speckle small bowl, £6, Stoneware Pitcher, £32, Speckle pasta bowl, £12.
Whilst Bedeck are known for their bed linen and towels, the new collection branches out to address the whole house, including bedlinen, tableware, ceramics, towels, baskets and wooden table top accessories; working beautifully as an interchangeable range but individual items would unassumingly blend into pretty much any home (particularly if you live in an artfully rustic dream of a home as pictured here!)
Dune, Chevron, Tide and Cone towels, from £10, Pinstripe towels, from £4, Seagrass black basket in a pair, £37
Inspiration for the collection: it’s about embracing ‘slowness, subtlety and the senses’, taking time to stop and appreciate the simple things in life, whilst we’re whizzing by in a face paced world of information overload!
As you can see from the gorgeous photography, the beauty of the collection lies in the simplicity of the textures, the honesty of the materials and the subtle, uncomplicated prints.
It has been designed in-house, but made and sourced all over the world. The key to the collection are the tactile finishes throughout that rely on the use of the materials such as wool, cottons and linen, stoneware ceramics, artisanal glass, woven sea grass and acacia and ash wood.
Water hyacinth + Banana rope ova; basket, £40, cushions start from £35 to £55
As with the whole range, it’s not all about ‘matchy matchy’ when it comes to the textiles, the tones and designs blend as an eclectic collection.
The simple geometric design of the bedding lends itself to bundles of cosy textural and tonal layering, although items from the range would easily slot into existing neutral schemes. Head of design Julie Hall describes the linen as ‘the stylish jeans and a white shirt of your interior – you can dress them up or down’.
Candle holders from £12, Dune bedlinen from £17, Still stone square pillow case £25, Bud throw, £120, Notebooks £10, Glass, £5, Stoneware dipped vase, £20.
The range of tableware includes the collection of acacia and ash pieces, the unique grain adds to the character of each piece.
Acacia medium oval bowl, £31, Acacia large bowl £37, Acacia spoon, £7.50, Core dinnerware from £10, Acacia small round dish £28, Acacia medium round dish, £32, Acacia salad servers, £15, Stem napkin, £4, Acacia large cutting board, £38, Acacia tong, £12.
You’ll have to wait until the 10th September to start buying, so until then the beautiful photography will have to do!Tweet
